Eine Arbeit über das Islambild zu schreiben und es zu hinterfragen, gestaltet sich daher zu einer sehr umfangreichen Aufgabe.
Um den Rahmen dieser Seminararbeit nicht zu sprengen, muss ich mich daher eingrenzen.
Deswegen möchte ich das Islambild in Deutschland unter bestimmten Aspekten untersuchen.

Zunächst werde ich mich mit Thilo Sarrazins Thesen zum Islam auseinandersetzen.
Dann werde ich mich mit einigen Studien befassen, in denen untersucht wird, welche Eigenschaften die Menschen in Deutschland mit dem Islam verbinden.
Unter den dort genannten Eigenschaften, die mit dem Islam verbunden werden, werde ich folgende Eigenschaften genauer untersuchen und auf ihren Wahrheitsgehalt überprüfen: Benachteiligung der Frau, Gewaltbereitschaft der Muslime und Unvereinbarkeit der Menschenrechte und des Islam.
So möchte ich, zumindest in diesen Punkten, von einfachen und pauschalen Charakterisierungen des Islam wegkommen.
Vor diesem Hintergrund interessiert mich, wie ein positives interkulturelles, interreligiöses Zusammenleben zwischen Muslimen und Nicht-Muslimen möglich sein könnte.

Meine Vorgehensweise in dieser Arbeit besteht in der Untersuchung von Zeitungsartikeln, Fachbüchern, Studien, Menschenrechtserklärungen und des Koran.
